We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Shop Manager to lead our independent automotive repair shop in Shelby Twp. **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Daily Operations:** Oversee and manage all aspects of the shop’s day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- **Efficiency Standards:** Ensure that all shop personnel meet efficiency and productivity standards, while maintaining a high quality of service.
- **Sales Objectives:** Meet and exceed sales goals by driving performance, securing new customers, and maintaining existing client relationships.
- **Customer Acquisition:** Develop and implement strategies to attract new business and retain existing customers.
- **Team Training & Development:** Recruit, hire, and train new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at their best.
- **Employee Supervision:** Provide shop staff with ongoing supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- **Inventory Management:** Monitor inventory levels, ensure timely part ordering, and manage vendor relationships.
- **Safety & Compliance:** Ensure that all safety standards and regulatory requirements are met, maintaining a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- **Financial Oversight:** Assist in managing the shop’s budget, controlling costs, and reporting financial performance.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in the automotive repair industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proven track record of meeting efficiency and sales objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships.
- Experience with shop management software and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
