BUILDING ENGINEER
Brookwood Management Partners, LLC, an affiliate of Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC, (“Brookwood”), which is a leading private equity real estate investment firm, seeks a Building Engineer to work in our 10-story 197,239 square foot suburban office building located in Irving, Texas.
Position Responsibilities
The Building Engineer will work independently and be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance work in the operation of a first-class, suburban office building. Duties include, but are not limited to the installation, repair, maintenance, monitoring and improvement of all building structures and HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and life safety equipment. The Building Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer.
Representative Duties
- Independently operate and monitor building equipment and systems;
- Independently manage larger maintenance projects and building improvement projects;
- Make routine repairs and adjustments to HVAC, electrical, hardware and plumbing equipment;
- Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction;
- Maintain the property in a clean and safe condition at all times;
- Conduct routine inspections and readings as directed by the Property Manager;
- Provide access to and monitor vendors for compliance with building operating standards and procedures;
- Assist with monitoring, managing, and controlling building energy consumption;
- Collaborate with property management staff on all of the above duties.
Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of seven years of experience in an office/flex building environment, and a minimum of a two-year trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical, life safety and building control systems. A Universal Refrigeration Certification is preferred. Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills are essential.
