Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both industrial and commercial settings. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems under supervision.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical components.
- Help troubleshoot electrical issues by identifying problems and implementing solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of the electrical trade.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must know English.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts; prior experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment used in electrical work.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
