Summary/Objective The Electrician Helper provides support and assist to one or more skilled electricians. The Electrician Helper will also provide general work assisting the skilled electrician with basic tasks like keeping documentation and paperwork all related maintenance in applicable logs and maintaining good housekeeping practices.

1. An E4 Electrician may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications E3 and A8. In addition, an E4 Electrician:
2. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
3. Assists in switchgear installations and terminations.
4. Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
5. Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes.
6. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
7. Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
8. DOES NOT WORK ON ENERGIZED CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, 40 hours per week, overtime may be required.
Travel
Job Sites can be located in multiple locations and out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
- Licenses: Current Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.
- High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.
