Job Description:
The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and will be responsible for the management and coordination of maintenance for a fleet of commercial passenger vehicles. The Maintenance Manager will own the scheduling and review of all vehicle maintenance with in-house and 3rd party maintenance providers, while reviewing all repair details and costs. Included with the maintenance will be control of roadside response efforts and overseeing of all regulatory compliance inspections of the organizations fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses malfunctions and performs vehicle repairs (e.g. adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines etc.) and related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial and local guidelines and requirements.
- Oversee and comply with local WeDriveU maintenance and safety SOPs, locally applicable public authority legislation, regulation and standards, ensuring that maintenance staff follow them
- Utilize and supervise the local use of WeDriveU EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) ERP application, and maintenance facility staff to record and to track local maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
- Manage preventive maintenance and “unscheduled” repairs for the vehicles serviced by this facility.
- Represent the maintenance activity at the local level in its interaction, communication and coordination of activities with other local operations functions: driver care, route operations, and customer care
- Supervise the maintenance staff.
Skills Required and Physical Demands:
Experience with compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med / Heavy Trucks
- Prefer ASE Certification as a Master Automotive Technician and/or a Master Truck Technician
- Microsoft Office with robust experience in Excel
- Strong electronic filing, documentation tracking and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and consistent formatting.
- Self-Motivated and driven problem solver
- Multiple years’ experience in transportation, encourage passenger transportation history
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work experience with mechanical background and aptitude

Education and Qualifications:
Hard requirements
5 years’ experience with fleet management company
Diesel Engine Repair experience.
5 years of Cummins Engine Repair
Preferred requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Logistics, and/or Transportation.
CDL not required but preferred.
