JOB TITLE: Hybrid Technician Helper

REPORTS TO: Service Manager
BACK UP: Hybrid Technician Trainee
STATUS: Non-exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for pulling, preparing and assembly of parts.
- Assist technicians during assigned jobs with needed tools, parts, etc.
- Mount and balance wheels and tires.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment and personal workspace.
- Inspect unit for cleanliness/detailing prior to customer orientation appointment.
- Perform upkeep on inventory to ensure all units and/or parts stay in a sellable condition.
- Regularly clean work area and make sure all tools are put away in their proper location.
- Responsible for cleaning up shop, including breaking down boxes, throwing away trash, sweeping shop floor, etc.
- Ensure all customers receive the orientation folder with a thank you letter from La Mesa RV, important phone numbers, warranty information, tips & hints checklist and recommended service schedule.
- Assist with scheduling customer the first service appointment prior to them taking delivery of unit.
- Perform walk-thru of units with customers; explain key items in the unit, how to use them and how to handle malfunctioning equipment.
- Responsible for cleaning up shop, including breaking down boxes, throwing away trash, sweeping shop floor, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies, SOPs and guidelines.
- Adhere to all quality, safety, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by Service Management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to safely operate equipment.
- Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
- Requires ability to hear, speak, read and write.
- Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.
- Requires ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours or more at a time.
- Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
- Requires ability to hear and speak and frequently hear and speak in very noisy environments.
- Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions.
- Requires ability to sit and drive RVs and/or forklifts when necessary.
- Requires ability to work in tight spaces (under/in units) frequently.
- Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.

- Ability to communicate with mechanics, customers and management.
- Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
