Job Purpose
The Hoist and Automation Technician repairs, maintains and tests equipment to Christie Lites standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Repairs and services equipment including but not limited to electric chain hoists, automated chain hoists, load cells and other rigging accessories.
2. Carries out certifications and testing to meet standards and regulations.
3. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
4. Teaches other technicians according to policy and procedure documents.
1. Repairs and services equipment including but not limited to electric chain hoists, automated chain hoists, load cells and other rigging accessories by:
- Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in hoists and automation products including ancillary equipment such as mains distribution units.
- Performing electronic repairs at the circuit board level.
- Performing mechanical repairs and adjustments on equipment.
- Modifying and upgrading Official Rental Product Line (ORPL) equipment to CL standards as specified in CL technical notes.
- Recording all repairs performed in Nexus Service module software.
- Placing parts orders through Parts Purchase Request (PPR) as required for repairs.
- Maintaining organization of parts
- Inspecting and Certification of lifting equipment based on CL designated intervals.
- Uploading all passed certification documents to SharePoint system software.
2. Maintains a clean and organized work area by:
- Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of shift.
- Ensuring equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner.
- Cleaning workstation and common areas as assigned.
- Removing recycling and waste to designated disposal areas.
- Informing Department Head about low stocks of supplies.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
