Critical Facility HVAC Mechanic
Data Centers are considered Critical Facilities. This means that we support hospitals, laboratories, public safety centers and cannot go down. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our Data Center. Your primary focus will be on HVAC work, but you will also have the opportunity to expand your skill set in electrical and mechanical environments.
Responsibilities
You will perform site inspections and supervise the building and Data Center alarms
Performs preventative maintenance on-site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or leads vendors
Perform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting electrical connections
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, including identifying and repairing leaks, faulty wiring, and malfunctioning components
Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as checking refrigerant levels, calibrating thermostats, and testing system performance
Install and replace HVAC equipment, including compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats
Extensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems
Completion of site logs and data gathering issuing for basic permits, such as MOPs and scripts
Respond to all on-site incidents and acts as the need arises
Provide assistance during critical maintenance activities
You are able to effectively collaborate within the department and provide recommendations to peers for general maintenance activities
Carry out basic infrastructure projects
24/7 Operation - Your flexibility to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, fill in for workmate, respond to emergencies, etc.
Qualifications
3+ years experience with critical infrastructure or commercial/Industrial HVAC maintenance to include troubleshooting, monitoring and routine maintenance
High School Diploma or equivalent
You perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation
You are available to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and/or required
You can lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 pounds
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
- California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: Level III $49,000 to $77,000 per year; Level IV $67,000 to $101,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
