Low Voltage Technician experienced with Fire Alarm Systems, Controlled Access and Surveillance Cameras
The ideal applicant needs to have experience with:
- Keri Systems hardware and software
- Mircom Systems hardware and software
- Select Engineered Systems hardware and software.
- Fire alarm systems including Silent Knight, Firelite, and a large variety of conventional and addressable systems.
- Troubleshooting fire alarm systems and circuits.
- Troubleshooting controlled access systems and circuits.
- Digital Watchdog and other camera systems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Navigate different monitoring information and problems like passwords and various on-site troubleshooting and repair as well as access to locked rooms, buildings, meeting customer personnel.
- Willingness to learn how to communicate and complete work orders through Amazon Service and Installation.
- Pick up necessary alarm products and low voltage needs from vendors (ie: APD, Viking Electric; etc.)
- Keep service vehicle stocked with necessary parts, tools, and equipment for daily job responsibilities.
- Take customer phone calls and answer customer communications through text and email and respond to customer needs.
- Respond to after-hours service calls on occasion.
- Vehicle maintenance and repair. Expected to keep interior and exterior clean.
- Obtain and meet annual requirements for all appropriate documentation with MN Department of Labor and Industry.
Skills/Requirements:
- Required: knowledge & experience with cameras, card access, fire alarms & low voltage.
- Excellent communication/people skills.
- Can/like to work independently/self-starter.
- Are a problem solver, every situation/day is different.
- Enjoy going to different locations throughout the Twin Cities every day.
- Like a small but growing company environment.
- Have a valid license/good driving record.
- Can pass background check and drug tests.
- Willing and able to obtain specified licenses/certifications.
- High School Graduate or have GED.
- Mathematical skills are a plus.
