As an In-Home Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to repair Washers and Dryers, Gas and Electric Stoves, Microwave Ovens, Dishwashers, Trash Compactors, Icemakers, Garbage Disposers and other major home appliances in the customer’s home.
Service Technician responsibilities include:
- Providing timely and quality repairs
- Maintaining high-quality customer service and care
- Providing knowledgeable and courteous repair service
- Driving a service vehicle through an assigned route
- Record all activities via computer system
- Communicating with customers about their appliance and repair needs
- Maintaining truck stock inventory
- Following the truck maintenance schedule and keeping a clean, organized truck
- Attend all training, meetings and other events as required
Requirements of the Service Technician role include:
- Someone mechanically inclined, or has an electrical or HVAC background
- Will train if no experience
- Would consider relocation service for 2-5 years’ experience in the appliance industry
- Ability to use a computer for part inquiries, ordering and documenting daily customer jobs
- Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of tools and test equipment
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and other service information
- Strong communication skills
- Passion to serve customers
- Ability to perform accurate repair of customer product
- Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
- Must pass drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to push, pull and reach for appliances
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel and bend
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
