Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in field service, particularly in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This role involves traveling to various job sites to install, maintain, and repair equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Operate service vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to job sites.
- Communicate with clients regarding service needs, recommendations, and repairs performed.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all operations.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics.
- Experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role is preferred.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to plumb and refrigerate systems effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on field service operations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
