Staffing Network is seeking an Electrical Repair Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Southfield, MI.
The Repair Tech is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing issues related to CCD Chip, which are used in medical imaging equipment. The job involves both hardware and software-related repairs, as well as ensuring that CCD devices meet quality standards and function properly.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in electronics, imaging technologies, and repair work. The technician's ability to keep up with evolving technology and maintain a high standard of work will be essential for success in this role.
Job Duties Required:
- Diagnose Issues: Troubleshoot and identify issues in CCD Chip or related components of imaging devices. This includes problems with image quality, sensor performance, and electrical malfunctions.
- Repair CCD Sensors: Perform both basic and advanced repairs on faulty CCD Chip. This may involve cleaning, replacing parts, or soldering electronic components.
- Calibrate Devices: Use specialized equipment to calibrate CCD Chip to ensure optimal performance. This may involve adjusting sensor settings, focus, and color accuracy.
- Testing: Conduct rigorous testing on repaired or replaced CCD Chip to ensure they meet specifications. Tests may include functionality, resolution, color accuracy, and other performance parameters.
- Troubleshoot Circuit Boards: In some cases, identify issues in the CCD Chip’s accompanying circuitry, such as signal processing chips or related components.
- Documentation: Maintain records of repairs, including descriptions of problems, actions taken, and outcomes. This helps track repair history and can be useful for warranty or quality control purposes.
- Parts Management: Keep track of spare parts, chips, and components. Order replacements as necessary to ensure smooth repair operations.
- Quality Control: Ensure that repaired CCD chip meet manufacturer specifications and pass quality control checks. This may involve working with a quality assurance team or independently verifying the functionality of repaired sensors.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in CCD technology and repair techniques, including learning about new imaging devices and components.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or certification in electronics, optics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in repairing electronic devices, preferably in imaging or CCD technology. Experience with diagnostic tools, soldering, and circuit board repair is highly beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CCD sensor technology, digital imaging systems, and electronics. Ability to read schematics and service manuals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Must be meticulous when handling sensitive electronic components and testing for defects.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues and document repair processes clearly.
- Tools & Equipment: Proficiency with soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools. Familiarity with calibration equipment specific to imaging devices is a plus.
