Perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance and repairs to the buildings, utility systems and mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Complies with OSHA, ADA and company safety policies
- Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
- Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.
- Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
- Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
- Performs routine HVAC maintenance on heaters, air conditioners and ventilation systems
- Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards, makes name plates, moves and sets up tables and chairs.
- Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
- Paints interior and exterior walls.
- Performs outside custodial duties such as parking lot cleaning and snow removal as required.
- Develop and contribute to improved processes and a protocol and implement new ideas with facility managers and staff
- Maintain a clean and organized storage and maintenance area
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and audits
- Ensure all maintenance tools are in working condition and stored securely
- Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- At least one year maintenance experience required
- Experience with HVAC and Plumbing Preferred
- Bilingual Preferred
- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
- Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct.
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
- Ability to develop a particular skill in others to bring them up to a predetermined standard of work performance.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Standing, walking, climbing, bending and kneeling frequently
- Lifts and carries supplies, tubs, and cases, weighing up to 100lbs
- Work is spread between multiple locations on the same campus. Environments include Casino, Grandstand, Bars, Restaurants and Barns.
- Noise level is moderate to high
- Moderate to high exposure to cigarette smoke
- Some exposure to physical risk
- Moderate to high physical effort required
