Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our properties, including performing repairs, turning over apartments for new tenants, and addressing general maintenance needs. You’ll play an integral role in maintaining a positive living and working environment for both tenants and staff. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and quick to address all work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Turnover of apartments for move-in, ensuring all repairs are completed to standards.
- Perform general maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC (HVAC experience is a plus but not required).
- Respond to work orders quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with property management staff to ensure high-quality tenant service.
- Maintain an organized work schedule and keep accurate records of maintenance activities and hours at each property.
- Assist with emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Be available for after-hours emergency calls and provide timely resolution to urgent maintenance issues.
- Maintain and organize tools and supplies to ensure efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a similar role.
- General knowledge of building systems and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC (HVAC knowledge a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to work well with both tenants and staff members.
- Must be trustworthy, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role (lifting, bending, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls when needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
