Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The Electrician will work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure that all electrical installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work with both high voltage and low voltage systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including frame carpentry tasks as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working in various environments.
Skills
- Proficient in using testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Experience with both high voltage and low voltage installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting electrical issues.
