The HVAC Installer works under the direct supervision of the mechanical foreman and is responsible for the installation of assigned tasks and/or scope of work. Sound like an exciting opportunity? Position Responsibilities
- HVAC Installers are responsible for installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and/or refrigeration, and other equipment following manufacture specifications and company requirements.
- Perform installation of copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering and knowledge of press systems
- Perform installation of flex, duct board, and/or sheet metal duct systems in light commercial and multifamily buildings
- Inspecting HVAC systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advising management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Supporting superintendent and foreman to ensure jobsite safety and security.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Minimum of three years as an installer
- Possession of High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; EPA certification a plus
- Proficient knowledge of the IMC, SMACNA GUIDELINES, local codes, and construction safety requirements.
