We are a successful, privately owned business, selling, servicing, and installing heavy-duty shop equipment and vehicle lift systems. We are seeking an experienced General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring we are operating efficiently and effectively, while driving business growth and fostering a positive team environment. You will be the face of the company, working closely with the Owner. Our company has a strong financial position, has been in business for 25 years, works with state and local government customers as well as private industry and is growing rapidly.
Responsibilities
Reports to owner.
Establish and monitor the performance of the company to ensure all goals are being met.
Maintain a deep knowledge of the automotive/heavy duty shop equipment industry and market to determine best growth areas for the company.
Manage and lead Sales and Service staff.
Review and approve all bid packages prior to being submitted to the customer.
Continue business growth by increasing sales and controlling operating cost.
Manage compliance with all government and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Update Owner on a regular basis.
Position Requirements
Five years hands on experience in an equipment-based company in the bus, automotive, construction, or transportation related industries.
Have an entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
