Job Overview
Retro HVAC is seeking a skilled Lead HVAC Technician to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, extensive expertise in HVAC systems, and the ability to mentor and guide other technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in both residential and commercial properties, ensuring top-quality service.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues using advanced tools such as ohmmeters and pressure gauges.
- Interpret and follow schematics to ensure accurate installation and repair of HVAC systems while training team members on best practices.
- Oversee boiler maintenance and manage refrigerant handling in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential problems and develop proactive maintenance strategies.
- Calculate appropriate refrigerant levels for optimal system efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to resolve complex HVAC challenges and improve overall team performance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, assisting with appliance repair services as necessary in conjunction with HVAC tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Lead HVAC Technician or in a similar supervisory role, with a minimum of 2 years in the HVAC field.
- Proficiency in HVAC/R systems and components, with a focus on advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Strong ability to maintain and repair various types of HVAC equipment to high standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of appliance repair techniques and their integration with HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must possess a valid EPA II certification and relevant experience in the HVAC field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,979.00 per year
