Currently looking for experienced Construction Superintendent/Foreman with experience in HVAC Mechanical work to support our growing Mechanical division in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. This is adding to our existing team as we're growing the work in the metroplex.
This position will plan, coordinate, and supervise field operations of projects. The individual will provide technical direction and is responsible for safety, costs, productivity, profitability, and overall quality of the work (including self-performed work). Additionally, this individual should be computer savvy and be able to work in the office with Project Management figuring the projects and dealing with GCs and vendors.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall project(s) planning and execution.
- Managing the schedule and the major risks encountered in the field.
- Typical self-perform scopes of work is for HVAC mechanical/process equipment installation including RTUs, Ductwork, Exhaust and Supply Fans, MAUs, Unit Heaters, Louvers, Dampers, Grills etc. for industrial/commercial establishments.
- Communicating with both GCs and Vendors in an effective manner
- Monitor labor productivities.
- Ensuring the job progress is working appropriate to schedule
- Performing Sheet Metal Duct Take off and measurements to the specifications
- Working with Sub-Contractors and ensuring that the work is done per plan
- Lead & develop teams of tradesmen.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC Mechanical contractor
- Strong Head on your shoulder and being able to lead a strong team on Journeymen and workers on the job site. Hold high ethical and integrity to self-lead the time with pride.
- Preferably some experience in Commercial and Industrial Application. If you have ONLY worked in Residential, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
- Heavy experience with HVAC Equipment Installation , Sheet Metal and Duct Installations
- If no experience in HVAC Mechanical hob, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY
- Computer Literacy is MUST to be able to draft emails, read plans and communicate with engineers, GCs and management. DO NOT APPLY if you don't have basic computer skills.
- Experience as Foreman/Superintendent on Waste water Treatment Plants HIGHLY PREFERRED.
- Must be willing to Travel within the State of Texas up to 50% in a year. If you're unwilling to travel, please do not apply.
Physical Requirements
- Strength to perform average lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level
- Arm, hand, and finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling—and with good eyesight
- Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis
- Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, stairs
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas
- May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching and/or near cranes
- May work in close contact with other people
