Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle RFP Management: Handle RFP development, vendor identification, data analysis, evaluation, negotiation, and contract creation for complex products, materials, and services.
- Market Analysis & Forecasting: Monitor market trends affecting pricing, delivery, and quality, and take action to mitigate negative impacts while capitalizing on positive trends.
- Supply Chain Strategies: Implement best practices like favorable payment terms, just-in-time inventory, and consignment materials.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and manufacturers in line with The Advanced Advantage.
- Process & Product Innovation: Identify and introduce cost-saving and time-efficient innovations from the supply chain to the organization.
- Inventory & Purchase Order Management: Issue timely purchase orders, validate material receipt, reconcile invoices, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance, address product defects, and ensure on-time material availability to avoid job delays.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, manage files, and oversee third-party rental contracts as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in HVAC supervision or a similar role within the industry.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in construction management, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- Minimum three years in a relevant role, with at least two years in the residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Ability to analyze pricing structures and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC systems are highly desirable.
