Job Description We are seeking a Product Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an HVAC expert, adept at coordinating with cross-functional teams, and passionate about reducing energy waste for our customers. This role will work closely with design, our hardware and software engineering teams, along with our field and support operations to ensure seamless product integration with the HVAC systems in the multi-tenant rental space. The Product Manager will engage directly with customers, prospects, and business partners, acting as the HVAC systems subject matter expert for our products and market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with design, hardware, and software engineering teams to drive the integration of energyGuard’s solutions with HVAC systems.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs.
- Lead the definition of product requirements, specifications, and success metrics.
- Act as a key interface for customers, prospects, and business partners, gathering feedback and translating it into actionable product improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, field service, support, sales, and marketing teams, as well as installation, channel, and manufacturing partners.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear communication and alignment with the engineering team.
- Support field service and sales teams by providing technical product expertise and assisting with product demonstrations.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive products to inform product strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial) or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management.
- HVAC systems design, performance and operational expertise is critical for this role.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, support, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to interface with customers, prospects, and partners, with strong communication and customer empathy skills.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, defining requirements, and working with agile development teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
