We operate three state of the art manufacturing facilities and one of the few coating plants in the United States. Strategically located in Hatfield, MA, Martins Ferry, OH and Sebring, FL, our locations enable us to provide high-quality products and outstanding service throughout the Northeast, Mid Central, Mid Atlantic and Southern markets.
TCS is searching for a Safety Manager based out of the Corporate office in Brunswick, OH. The position will require travel to the three manufacturing sites. This position is responsible for supporting and developing the evolution of the safety culture, providing leadership and reducing work related injuries/illnesses at all sites. The Safety Manager will identify opportunities for improving conditions and executing various safety programs throughout all levels of the workforce.
Responsibilities:
- · Assists, plans, implements and enforces safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
· Reviews and updates safety related policies and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with changes in laws or standards
· Addresses safety compliance concerns and implements preventive actions to mitigate concerns
· Develop and implement Safety and Health programs, systems and processes including training and coaching to establish clear expectations and procedures
· Conducts periodic inspections of all facilities; issue reports of hazards and required abatements to managers and ensures actions are taken to resolve any identified hazards
· Oversees investigation of all work-related incidents and near misses identifying root causes and develops corrective action plans to prevent recurrence
· Maintain Company safety records including OSHA 300 Log and KPI’s
· Prepares required reports on employee accidents and injury trends
· Coordinates and conducts periodic Safety Committee meetings; prepares agendas, maintain records of meetings and implements corrective action
· Plans and implements safety training for all manufacturing sites
· Maintains training records in current Learning Management System (LMS)
· Interact with agency regulatory personnel as necessary
Job Requirements:·
· Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related field
· 5+ years of experience in a professional Safety & Health role within a manufacturing environment
· Professional certifications related to the Safety, Health and Environment field
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws/codes pertaining to workplace safety
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook
· Strong communication skills, able to multi-task and prioritize workload
· Must be able travel <25% of time
