Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, both low and high voltage, and be proficient in reading schematics and working with various hand and power tools. This role involves working on construction sites, performing renovations, and ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage applications safely.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to improve functionality or comply with updated codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in various systems is preferred.
- Experience in frame carpentry is a plus, enhancing the ability to work on integrated projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
