As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will be a vital team member responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment. With core skills in mechanical knowledge, such as, electrical experience, and familiarity with schematics, you will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production output.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Plans and schedules work so as to maintain equipment in acceptable condition while both anticipating and preventing interruptions in plant operations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams and apply information to maintenance projects.
- Must have a thorough understanding of programming PLC's
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Monitors all machines and/or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problems and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varies machinery up to and including three phases 480-volt energy
- Schedules and performs all preventive maintenance on factory equipment as required on a regular basis.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment when applicable.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs pressroom / tool room equipment to as-built condition or as required.
- Maintains maintenance records, catalogs spare parts items.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of machine maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience, air compressors and HVAC.
- Knowledge of Bruderer and Ing Yu Stamping Press is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
- Must be able to walk, use hands, fingers, bend, carry, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of shift
