Target hourly rate: $40-$50/hour pending experience
Bonus: 10% annual bonus (can go to 20% based on performance)

Job Description: An I&E Technician (Instrumentation and Electrical Technician) is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems within an industrial facility, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment by performing preventative maintenance, calibrations, and responding to system malfunctions, while adhering to all safety protocols and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance:
- Install new electrical and instrumentation equipment, including wiring, conduit, sensors, and control devices according to project specifications.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration checks.
- Replace worn or damaged components on existing systems.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical drawings.
- Repair faulty electrical components, sensors, actuators, and control devices.
- Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, accuracy, and reliability.
Calibration and Testing:
- Calibrate and verify the accuracy of instrumentation devices such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level transmitters.
- Perform functional testing on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure proper operation.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including dates, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
- Generate reports on equipment status, potential issues, and necessary corrective actions.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, including AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
- Knowledge of instrumentation principles, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation loop drawings.
- Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools, test equipment, and calibration devices.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an I&E Technician in an industrial setting
