Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team. As AGM, you will be responsible for supporting Management in overseeing all aspects of guest services and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will manage the company’s procedures and guide employees to ensure they are well-coordinated and productive. You will collaborate with the front office, revenue director, sales team, food and beverage, and other department heads to ensure that hotel operations are running smoothly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all front desk operations, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for guests
- Train and develop staff in providing exceptional customer service
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
- Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of room inventory, rates, and availability
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas
- Develop strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel management or related role preferably in a luxury resort setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Proficient in using hotel management software systems
- Knowledge of phone systems and phone etiquette
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus
