Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage electrical wiring, fabrication techniques, and the ability to work with various hand tools and equipment.
Duties
*Cable Routing: Expertly route and install low-voltage wiring, including data cables, and audio-video cables within new and existing construction sites.
- Equipment Installation: Install mounting brackets, junction boxes, and associated hardware for home automation equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform rigorous testing and quality checks to ensure all prewiring is installed correctly and meets industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the prewiring process promptly, ensuring a smooth transition to the installation phase.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of prewire activities, including wiring diagrams, equipment lists, and any changes or adjustments made during the prewire process.
- Customer Interaction: Collaborate with clients to explain prewiring processes, answer questions, and address concerns professionally and courteously.
* Proven experience in prewiring for custom home automation or similar low-voltage systems
* Strong knowledge of home automation technologies and components
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and blueprints
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work in various construction environments
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
