SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The position of Electrical/Controls/Metering/Project Manager is based on, and not limited to the performance of alternative development and feasibility assessments for alternative energy sources for the facilities proposed at future locations. Support all client needs associated with their electrical systems, specialized controls systems, energy and utility metering, and project managing of projects and contracts.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide routine service support to our accounts to execute agreed upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans. Ensure all projects come in on time and under budget.
- Develop and verify material lists by project, ensuring materials are available as needed.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and Venergy personnel on job sites.
- Assist the team with VA site visits of prospective customers/new projects.
- Assist futures account representatives (Venergy Personnel) with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with the key stakeholders in the strategic district/regional accounts where you provide service support to other District/Regional Representatives. You will be the "Ambassador" to our clients, and we expect professionalism.
- Lead, teach and develop your direct reports. Build skills and credibility with them.
- Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required.
- Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
- Actively support Venergy/Partner innovations and technology in the strategic Federal accounts where you provide service support to other direct employees.
- Communicate all project issues / concerns to the Venergy Leadership team.
- Collaborates with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Negotiates contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtains permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determines needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations; Monitors and manages project budgets on all sites.
- Direct, train, supervise, and manage all Project Engineering functions (RFIs, Submittals, Document Control, etc.).
- Plans all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Acquires and monitors equipment and materials on multiple work sites.
- Hires Sub-contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
- Evaluates progress and prepare detailed reports to the clients.
- Ensures adherence to all health and safety standards and reports and documents any issues.
- Provides for adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, best practices, laws and project schedules.
- Emphasis on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment including training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
- Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
- Develops and oversees quality standards on all sites.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Work is medium to heavy demand. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires good visual acuity and hearing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
