Roofing Service Technicians Needed

Summary: The Roofing Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on various types of roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing systems to identify issues such as leaks, damage, and wear.
- Provide detailed assessments and reports on the condition of the roof and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Perform repairs on a variety of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal roofs, TPO, EPDM, and more.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of roofing systems.
- Install and repair flashing, gutters, and downspouts as needed.
- Installation:
- Assist with the installation of new roofing systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Work with other team members to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest quality.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all team members are following safety protocols.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Customer Service:
- Interact professionally with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the scope of work, timelines, and any issues that arise during the project.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
- Provide detailed reports and photographs of completed work for client records.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to roofing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in roofing systems (e.g., GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning) is highly desirable.
- Experience with both residential and commercial roofing projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Work at heights and on potentially hazardous surfaces.
