Roofing Service Technicians Needed

Summary: The Roofing Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on various types of roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Assessment:
Conduct thorough inspections of roofing systems to identify issues such as leaks, damage, and wear.
Provide detailed assessments and reports on the condition of the roof and recommend appropriate solutions.
Repair and Maintenance:
Perform repairs on a variety of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal roofs, TPO, EPDM, and more.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of roofing systems.
Install and repair flashing, gutters, and downspouts as needed.
Installation:
Assist with the installation of new roofing systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Work with other team members to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest quality.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all team members are following safety protocols.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns they may have.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding the scope of work, timelines, and any issues that arise during the project.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
Provide detailed reports and photographs of completed work for client records.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
Minimum of [3] years of experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to roofing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in roofing systems (e.g., GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning) is highly desirable.
Experience with both residential and commercial roofing projects.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
Work at heights and on potentially hazardous surfaces.
