Sage Hill Inn & Spa is an award-winning luxury boutique property located just South of Austin, TX. As a Corporate & Event Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be primarily responsible for executing the group sales strategy at Sage Hill Inn & Spa. The objective is to maximize revenues across all revenue generating outlets to include rooms, meetings and events, food and beverage, pickleball, and spa. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, and will feel comfortable interacting directly with clients over the phone or in person when conducting a site tour. The role may also be the day-of liaison through event set-up, meetings, or ceremony and reception. The job is 50-50 remote, and on-site in Kyle, TX, just 25 minutes south of Austin. Candidate is expected to live within the greater Austin, Kyle, or San Marcos area.
*Duties*
- Analyze current markets and identify new markets and potential clients.
- Proactively build a potential client list of local and national corporate clients
- Develop departmental event sales plans and communicate them clearly to all parties.
- Communicate with clients to understand their event requirements and vision.
- Build-on and develop relationships with our current clients.
- Oversee all aspects of event management including logistics, marketing, and hospitality
- Ensure that all client correspondence is tracked and recorded, including quotations and contracts.
- Coach front desk and other team members on any group or event materials they should know.
- Manage the guest database and ensure that client’s details are accurate and up to date.
- Submit weekly Sales & Marketing activity reports to the General Manager.
*Skills*
- Corporate & Event Hotel Sales: Min 2-4 years (Required)
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members
- Experience in corporate event sales, banquet, catering, and restaurant services
- Expertise in events management and logistics
- Ability to market events effectively
- Background in hospitality/hotel industry
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct at all times when dealing with clients, guests etc.
*Pay*
- 60k base salary
- Commission structure with potential up to 60k
