Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, and computer networking. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in the field while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Build and terminate cabling for various low voltage applications.
- Provide field service support for clients, addressing any technical issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and service calls.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field service industry.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, fire alarm systems, computer networking, and surveillance technologies.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Experience with cabling installation and termination is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.
