Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and heating systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems, including compressors, motors, and thermostats.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their HVAC needs.
- Keep accurate records of service performed and parts used during maintenance or repair work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC system design and installation techniques
- Master Technician candidate
- Desire and skills to grow into a Service Manager
- Strong understanding of refrigeration principles and air conditioning mechanics.
- Experience in appliance repair related to HVAC systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for various HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols when working with electrical components and refrigerants.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
