Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and motivated Apprentice Electricians to join our team for commercial building projects. Under the guidance of licensed electricians, the apprentice will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial environments, learning essential skills and best practices in the trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
- Pull wiring through conduits and walls, and ensure proper grounding and connections as per code.
- Install fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to complete projects accurately.
- Use hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Work collaboratively with licensed electricians and other team members on job sites.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and help with preventive maintenance under supervision.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on industry codes, standards, and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in electrical work or construction is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to learn more.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various commercial environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $22.50 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
