JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position involves working on commercial construction projects, as well as performing residential and commercial service work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

OBJECTIVES
Commercial Construction:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and power distribution systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts.
- Work collaboratively with general contractors, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Residential and Commercial Service Work:
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in residential and commercial properties, including faulty wiring, fixtures, and circuit breakers.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades of electrical systems.
- Install new electrical systems, such as lighting, outlets, and appliances, per customer requests and code requirements.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols and company procedures.
- Conduct regular testing of systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain work performed, provide estimates, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and professionalism.
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
● Current and valid Journeyman Electrician License.
● Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in commercial construction and/or service work
● Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
● This position may require some travel: up to 40%
