Barry’s is the Best Workout in the WorldTM®. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it’s the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high-intensity, one-hour workout that’s as effective as it is fun. Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights and running on a treadmill. Each day focuses on a different muscle group in order to achieve real results and to prevent injuries. Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximize fat loss, while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class.

About the role
The Regional Facilities Manager plays a pivotal role in liaising between studios and the operations leadership team. By building trust and establishing a partnership with the studio leadership team the Regional Facilities Manager ensures the studios are well-maintained and the facilities are upheld to Barry’s standards. The Regional Facilities Manager works in partnership with third-party service providers to ensure our studios deliver a wow experience through the aesthetic presentation and upkeep of the facilities themselves.
What you'll do

Partner with General Managers and other studio leadership to ensure consistent brand standards are upheld at each studio through walk-throughs, regular maintenance, repairs, and communication across departments

Participate in the studio-level recruiting process as needed by General Managers

Assist in the training of new team members and for new studio openings as needed

Perform repairs and maintenance in studios, and bring in service providers as needed when repairs cannot be completed in-house
Studio Maintenance
-
Build trust with all members of the studio team including, but not limited to General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and facilities team members by communicating effectively and professionally in a timely manner

Partner with General Managers on a weekly in-person walk-through of each facility, documenting strengths as well as opportunities in each studio using the Facility Experience Evaluation

Ask in-the-moment questions of facilities team members to understand efficiency and productivity of performance and partner with GM to address concerns

Support within-the-moment facilities team performance by communicating concerns and partnering with GM to urgently address

Effectively communicate with HQ Development team on execution of CapEx projects and repairs in the studio as needed, ensuring timely completion and communication across stakeholders on status and studio impact expectation
- Partner with the General Manager to schedule and perform minor studio repairs, including but not limited to: locker repairs, lighting, plumbing, treadmill repairs, painting, washer and dryer troubleshooting, and other facility repairs

Assist studio teams by working shifts in the studio as needed – conducting room flips, assisting with laundry, cleaning, etc

Partner with GMs to respond to emergency requests as required; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution including bringing in outside vendors as needed while communicating time estimate for fix and cost to studio team and operations leadership.

Treadmill Maintenance:

Perform quarterly treadmill maintenance of each machine in each studio, coordinating and communicating directly with each studio GM

Maintain logs and report on all treadmill repairs, from daily to quarterly maintenance

Perform additional repairs as needed to optimize treadmill downtime for the region

Work with studio leadership to ensure the region is well stocked in spare treadmill parts

Assist with full fleet treadmill swapouts/replacements as needed
Company Culture Responsibilities:

Represent the Barry’s brand within the studio and throughout the fitness community

Assist by participating in and enhancing the community within your studio and regional teams
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years as a facility maintenance manager or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Strong technical aptitude and follow-through
-
Knowledge of facilities upkeep and basic repair
-
Electrical and/or plumbing experience a plus

Must have written and oral communication skills
-
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and directions
-
Ability to stand, crawl, walk, push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
