We are looking for someone local to Austin or willing to relocate. This is a key role that is expected to be a critical part of the leadership team so it is important for the team to be close together for collaboration purposes especially as they undergo significant growth in 2025 and beyond.
Our client is a 10M+ DTC (Direct to Consumer) CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Vitamin / Supplement brand that has plans to grow significantly both through organic growth as well as acquisition. The brand itself was founded 20 years ago and is headquartered in Austin, TX.
As the Marketing Manager you will be tasked with understanding both retail as well as online sales channels. As the company scales, its growth will principally come from online/digital channels and while an understanding of both retail and digital sales channels is important, we are looking for someone with deep experience and a focus on digital marketing and online channels. (TikTok, Meta, Amazon, YouTube, etc)
Being a forming startup means that though we’ve written a job description and might know what we need today, one of your primary tasks will be to come in and spend time initially understanding the business, the people, the processes, the problems, and the opportunities. We are looking for someone who has patience and understands that growth is all about ramping up while iterating, developing, and improving. As you uncover growth opportunities, some of your tasks may go beyond your initial job description. Hence, someone with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset is more important than someone who is just an expert in one area.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute traffic generation strategies to increase paid traffic to our products on Amazon, retail dot com websites like IHerb, and our DTC website.
- Own Omnichannel acquisition and retention strategies across digital and retail experiences.
- Own advertising budgets, keyword research, and A/B testing with a goal of exceeding ROAS targets and paid revenue goals.
- Own weekly and monthly advertising reporting with a focus on KPIs and trend analysis
- Manage DTC Search Ads and Social Ads (Meta & TikTok) to drive traffic.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and E-Commerce.
- 3-5 years in digital paid advertising with deep expertise in both DTC and Amazon.
- Proficient in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta, and Google Analytics; Strong understanding of analytics and reporting/bid platforms.
- TikTok is a new platform but will be a huge part of the growth strategy including hiring a dedicated TikTok Marketer so any familiarity with TikTok would be a huge plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to collect and analyze keyword and campaign data to make informed decisions that lead to performance optimizations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain strategy, execution, and results to leadership
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, startup environment.
