Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our list of sub-contractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in both industrial and construction environments. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical schematics, the ability to work with high and low voltage systems, and proficiency in using various electrical tools and equipment. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Use voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications to ensure proper functionality.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks related to electrical work.
Skills
- Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, and hand tools essential for electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including both high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Experience reading schematics and technical drawings related to electrical installations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in an industrial setting.
