Overview
We are seeking a Lead Electrician local to Pinellas county. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints, as well as experience with various power tools. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Bonus opportunities & 6 days holiday pay.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Use testing equipment such as ammeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform high voltage installations and repairs safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects that may require frame carpentry or other construction skills.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, utilizing power tools effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a commercial & residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints related to electrical systems.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and safety protocols associated with them.
- Experience using testing equipment such as ammeters and ohmmeters for troubleshooting purposes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
