Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. Your expertise in building codes, electrical schematics, and power tools will be essential in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, for any defects or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements - Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper installation and coordination of electrical systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or hazards in the workplace
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in commercial settings
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and building codes
- Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems
- Ability to use mini-ex, install conduit, fiber, electrical, power tools and other equipment necessary for electrical work
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
