Opportunity
Responsible for the successful operation of the Lincoln Park Kohler Waters Spa location. Insure the services, programs, physical properties and financial results reflect the quality standards and objectives established for Hospitality businesses.
Specific Responsibilities
Financial
- Improve operating income as a percent of net sales each year through growth in sales and control of costs and expenses.
Operations
- Ensure high-quality standards are maintained in service, goods and products, personnel and physical property.
- Create, build and maintain a positive synergy between all Kohler Waters Spas in order to create a comparable experience for every guest. This includes treatment protocol, menu offerings, Forbes 5 Star standards, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities.
- Implement, evaluate and maintain standard operating procedures. Ensure the accuracy of all reports and controlling documents required by Kohler Co
- Recommend policies and pricing structures for the business. Ensure policies are implemented and monitored so they are meeting the needs of the business, guests and members.
- Create and execute special programs and events to promote the Kohler Waters Spa.
- Ensure events are increasing awareness to the local community as well as returning day guests. Realize a breakeven or profit on all special events and programs.
- Ensure Kohler Waters Spa collateral is up-to-date and representative of the spa's image and offerings.
- Supervise the planning and completion of projects to maintain, upgrade or repair the physical properties.
Strategic
- Develop, recommend and oversee implementation of marketing, strategic and manpower plans for the business. Evaluate and adjust plans to ensure objectives are met.
- Develop strategies to drive sales in service and retail, seek and implement new opportunities to increase sales over prior year. Work with the Assistant Manager, Sales, Guest Services and Operations to ensure opportunities to increase sales are researched and implemented.
- Oversee implementation of marketing objectives. Includes promotional packages, direct mail efforts, seasonal offerings.
- Develop an awareness and continually strive to be aware of changing trends in the spa and wellness industry, demographics, competition and markets. Implement plans to deal with changes.
Human Relations
- Serve in a public relations capacity when appropriate. Serve as a visible resource for guests. Act as liaison between outside contacts, professional staff and Communications
- Interact with other Kohler Hospitality associates to ensure synergy in business operations.
- Supervise the hiring, evaluating and discipline of staff. Ensure fair and legal employment practices are followed. Ensure safe work practices are developed and maintained.
- Supervise the orientation, training and performance of associates. Ensure educational opportunities are provided for all levels.
- Oversee all communications with guests. This includes written promotional materials and responding to customer issues.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Minimum of three years' experience in a combination of customer service, business or
project management, retail sales, and special programs.
- Previous experience within a Spa or Wellness business/organization.
- Must possess prior supervisory experience and ability to interact positively with a multitude of personalities.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills required.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
