RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING TECHNICIAN POSITION PURPOSE
The Residential Plumbing Technician position is integral to ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential settings. The primary purpose of this role is to provide skilled plumbing services to customers while delivering excellent customer service and upholding industry standards and safety protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plumbing Installations: Perform installations of various plumbing fixtures and systems in residential buildings, including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, water heaters, and pipes.
Plumbing Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, broken pipes, malfunctioning fixtures, and water heater problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer concerns.
Maintenance Services: Conduct routine maintenance tasks on plumbing systems to prevent potential issues, including inspecting for leaks, cleaning drains, and testing water pressure.
Troubleshooting: Identify the root causes of plumbing problems through thorough inspection and analysis and develop appropriate solutions to resolve issues efficiently.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear communication about the services being performed, explaining repair options, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Compliance with Codes and Regulations: Ensure that all plumbing work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards to uphold the integrity and safety of residential plumbing systems.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed on our dispatching software, including service reports, invoices, and parts used, to facilitate proper billing and follow-up communication with customers.
Continued Education: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in plumbing systems and techniques through ongoing training and professional development activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles used in the course of performing plumbing services to ensure their proper functioning and longevity.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other plumbing technicians, supervisors, and support staff to coordinate schedules, share knowledge and expertise, and provide assistance as needed to meet customer demands effectively.
