Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential electrical systems, with a strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage applications. This role requires proficiency in using various electrical tools and equipment, including ohmmeters, ammeters, and power tools. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters.
- Work with both high voltage and low voltage systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including frame carpentry when necessary.
- Build and install electrical panels, circuits, and other components as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation techniques and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to electrical work.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Certification or license as an electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
