Install and repair security alarms, access control, and surveillance wiring and ensure work is in accordance with relevant codes for Citywide Alarms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required. Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
- Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.
- Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical wiring in order to connect components.
- Mount raceways and conduits, and fasten wires to wood framing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-year experience with construction or running low voltage wire. References required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Required to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms. Required to work with ladders up to 30 feet.
- Will frequently be required to walk, sit and use hands to pull cables and wires, use power tools, work in various positions and climb ladders and/or scaffolding.
- Positions require the necessary vision to work with small, color-coded wiring.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud on occasion and may be exposed to outside weather elements all year long.
COMPENSATION
- $17+ hourly pay with overtime pay (time and a half) past 40 hours per week
- Hourly rate depends on experience (will be determined post-interview)
- Annual raises based on evaluation
SCHEDULE
- 8 hour shift
- Monday - Friday
