Role Purpose

To inspect, repair, replace, adjust, install, wire and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in the plant or an assigned area, including structural, crane, mobile equipment, hydraulics, plumbing and piping maintenance. Make mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
Core Accountabilities
- Provide regular scheduled mechanical repair, installation, prevention and inspection work.
- Dismantle, rebuild, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain and lubricate plant equipment. Analyze and advise various equipment to determine maintenance needs.
- Assemble equipment by reading blueprints, sketches, instruction manuals, and precision tools.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment for proper operating characteristics.
- Perform rigging, jacking and hoisting as required.
- Layout, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain all types of structural weld and equipment.
- Perform welding repairs, while maintain equipment.
- Assists with other maintenance, tests and repairs as needed.
Competencies and Qualifications
- A.S. degree from accredited college or trade school or minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to use various tools, including but not limited to precision tools, drill press, power saw, grinders, threaders, pipe cutters, drills, pullers, hoists, wrenches, etc.
- Strong industrial electrical experience required.
- Working knowledge of various mill equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to pass company mechanical worksheet.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 50 per week
