Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $25 - $32 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Hours: Monday through Friday 40 hours
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements of each project.
- Using appropriate tools and benders to construct sheet metal components, cold boxes, and other HVAC components.
- Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, fittings, and architectural elements.
- Assist in the installation of sheet metal systems, such as HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Installing ridged and flex duct as well as ceiling and wall HVAC vents.
- Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
Qualifications:
- Ability to report to and from the job site on a daily basis
- Five years prior experience in commercial or industrial HVAC sheet metal work
- Possess tools of the trade Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the commercial field required
- Prior experience using hand tools and power tools required
- Position may require a drug screen
