DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing and Communications Producer is responsible for both the execution and strategic planning for all marketing activities required to achieve the organization’s goals related to brand growth, health, engagement, and impact. This includes the management and development of all marketing assets such as creative design, website, social media, email, video, and copywriting. The Producer is expected to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop compelling content, support membership and partnership generation and activation, and capture and use data to better understand the member journey to execute a plan that fosters high-quality engagement at all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in the creative design and digital platform space, an innovative spirit with technology, an understanding of metrics and valuation of digital assets, and a strong editorial/content background are essential skills to be successful in this role. A successful applicant will demonstrate strong digital marketing skills along with initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to work creatively and proactively while collaborating in a team environment. We are looking for someone prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and driven to take the initiative to succeed when presented with individual work responsibilities.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Brand Development: Creative Design (graphics, video and photography editing, animation), Storytelling/Copywriting
Brand Activation: email marketing (1+ per week); social media (1+ per day); web development (monthly updates), event marketing, advertising
Leadership: Facilitate weekly/daily check-in meetings addressing all marketing projects, report and track marketing KPIs, work with the Board and Marketing/Comms committee to drive strategy

Responsibilities include:
- Creative design, direction and marketing strategy: Execute and provide leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating effective marketing and communications strategies, with a particular focus on content development and campaign effectiveness.
- Proactively seek opportunities to build the PRO brand and impact for members (such as member highlights, partner activations, and experiential marketing) and integrate ideas that support the overall PRO strategic plan into marketing activities.
- Contribute to, follow or build an overall strategic marketing/project plan and Content Calendars for Pro Sports Assembly to execute against for agreed upon time frame
- Write all copy for Pro Sports Assembly collateral including social, web, and printed materials, Design write, deploy, and measure daily social media content; Support inbound and outbound social engagement efforts and establish the measurement methodology
- Report on marketing performance and educate stakeholders on a monthly basis to optimize results; make performance-based decisions on where to deploy creative content for best results.
- Prepare, manage and operate the annual Marketing budget to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of financial resources needed for marketing-related operations.
- Create a vision for brand activation and identify effective tactics to incorporate revenue-generating and growth objectives into the marketing strategy. Attend board meetings, committee meetings, and other events as requested to address marketing objectives.
- Work to understand member and partner goals and create strategic marketing plans to help meet those goals
- Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party vendors, advertising platforms and technology partners, as well as interface with league contacts and their vendors.
- Prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into the associations’ overall operations.
- Develop and maintain close contact with representatives of other professional sports and association-related groups to monitor industry events and trends and to enhance PRO members' visibility and growth within the industry.
- Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in marketing membership strategies, sharing with the team and championing new strategies and tools where appropriate, based on those insights.
- Serve as the main point of contact with external PR, Marketing, Advertising and other partners who help deliver marketing activities.
- Implement and execute special projects and programs as assigned by the President or Board Chair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
