The OEM Sales Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding sales and business opportunities with assigned OEM factory customers and service offices, known as the “Leverage” channel. This role requires proactive customer management, project facilitation, and active participation in national and regional sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Management and Sales Execution:
- Establish and maintain regular contact with decision makers in potential and existing customers, supported by a formalized work plan.
- Factory Program and Project Winning:
- Facilitate successful achievement of basis of design specifications for new factory programs and projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as supply chain, engineering, product marketing, operations, quality, and warranty.
- “Leverage” Project Funnel Development:
- Manage and nurture a successful pipeline of “Leverage” projects by training and educating sales and service teams, engaging with national and regional management, participating in sales meetings, and providing support for joint sales calls and quotations.
- Implementation and Support:
- Ensure implementation schedules and support activities align with commitments to customers and company management.
- Product Awareness and Sales Planning:
- Expand awareness of products through presentations and demonstrations.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive sales plan, including opportunity mapping, target accounts, forecasting, sales strategies, and CRM activity.
- United States Growth Initiatives:
- Actively participate in overall growth initiatives and strategies for the United States market.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience focused on HVAC or related industries.
- Proficiency in tracking customer sales information, forecasts, and reports using relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives, qualify and close sales opportunities, develop effective business, sales, and marketing plans, and follow established sales processes.
- Technical or engineering background highly desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information:
- The successful candidate must be willing to maintain a consistent travel schedule, approximately 50%.
