Overview:
Bracken Plumbing is seeking a self-supervised, skilled, and experienced Licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. As a vital member of our plumbing crew, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance, while adhering to industry standards and regulations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks in residential and commercial settings, including but not limited to:
- Pipe fitting and installation
- Fixture installation and repair
- Water heater installation and repair
- Drain cleaning and maintenance
- Sewer line inspection and repair
- Gas line installation and repair (if licensed)
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to plan and execute plumbing projects accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete plumbing tasks with precision and craftsmanship.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
- Collaborate with other team members, including apprentices and technicians, to ensure timely completion of projects and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain plumbing services, answer questions, and address concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new plumbing technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Valid journeyman plumber license issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a journeyman plumber in the plumbing industry.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in all aspects of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Thorough understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally, including evenings and weekends, and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
