Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable maintenance technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations on dry-freeze equipment. This position requires expertise in refrigeration and electrical diagnostics, as well as proficiency in welding, brazing, and metal fabrication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on dry-freeze equipment.
- Repair common refrigeration and electrical failures.
- Soft soldering and silver brazing to 2 1/8”, including copper to dissimilar metals (i.e., brass and stainless steel) O.D. required.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Order parts, supplies, or equipment from vendors.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma and/or equivalent required.
- Vocational courses in areas of HVAC/R and refrigeration license required.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration diagnostics and electrical trouble-shooting equipment.
- Experience in maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC/R or freeze-drying equipment.
- Fabrication - metal working.
- Welding and brazing.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
